Support the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue. Support the Top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects. Support the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue. Ensure, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems. Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives. Provide for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided. Assist the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work. Conduct safety audits both internal and external. Take part in accident / incident investigation. Carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans. Provide technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects. Carry out any in-house safety training. Review contractor safety documentation to ensure in complies with company requirements, contractual agreements and company codes of practice. Carry out safety audits on Sub-contractors. Liaise with client on safety related issues. Perform Risk Assessment. Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders. Provide safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures as per contract requirements.

Closely involved in pre-planning and execution of rig moves with regards HSE of personnel, equipment and well site. Conduct training sessions and drills to maintain and increase staff competency. Provide direction, leadership, data interpretation and technical assistance to rig personnel. Leasing with contractors safety advisors, tool pusher and company man to increase HSE Standards, procedures and awareness. Leading and participating in drilling safety audits and reviews. Provide input to the collection of lessons learned for the drilling activities. Participate in incident control duties during major accident emergencies or drills. Raise awareness amongst drilling staff and contractors on the hazards associated with H2S. Supervision of rig site HSE supervisors. Ensuring effective management of change process are implemented for drilling safety related changes. Ensuring compliance by all parties with company’s HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements including al laws, rules and regulations (as amended from time to time) of the government. Ensuring the timely identification of HSE hazards, evaluation of risks for all activities and development of effective tools to manage and reduce these risks.

Implement and monitor Safety and Environmental Management systems in support of company activities, including the administration and execution of internal and external audit programs. Provide technical advice and support to all the departments. Participate to the investigation of all incidents and accidents. Identify workplace hazards (chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic) and assess health and safety risks for identified job types associated directly or indirectly with operations. Attend HSE meetings and ensure the delivery of tool box talks to his supervised team. Attend all site planning, progress and other appropriate site meetings, particularly those where contractors and subcontractors are involved. Carry out HSE inspections and control of safety equipment functionality. Participate to internal and external audits and inspections and to ensure suitable measures are in place to enable inspection programs to be effectively completed. Investigate all safety incidents and accidents and issue prompt report. Ensure emergency preparedness. Provide technical assessment and evaluation relevant to site queries and concession requests submitted by Contractors.
